Relationships are the very nature of our existence. There is no way to go through life without having relationships. Relationships are needed to thrive in life. Relationships with others are important because it helps us to grow and mature as a person. It gives one the ability to see and understand differing viewpoints and perspective on matters of life that will help an individual or group to make positive decisions and choices. It also builds character and creates a sense of acceptance and belonging to another person or group. When children go to school they form relationships (teacher and student relationship). Relationships are formed with people at work, at play. It is not healthy for a person to be alone. Without relationships we one would not be able to measure their character, growth and maturity as a person.
- You from some type of relationship with people you encounter on a consistent basis. Relationships are formed with people you conduct business with - at banks, stores, cleaners, restaurants (places you frequent). Although these relationships may never go beyond its initial existence, it is still a type of relationship
In the weeks to come we will discuss relationships in depth. We will focus on the "more than friends" and the 'significant other' relationship. Look for my post every Friday in September where another topic in relationships is discussed. The subjects discussed will be topics from my new program – "Toxic Relationship (Identifying the Warning Signs)" I'm launching in October. I hope you enjoy and look forward to your comments.
