Today is my emotional Moday rant! I have an array of emotions surfacing. From my last Monday post you may have noticed that I was just as emotional. What I have come to learn is that women are just emotional beings. There is no way of getting around it. It is what it is. What is needed is strategies to get past the erratic state of emotions and making that emotional state work for you. You need to find what works for you.
For me, I choose to write. This is my own personal therapy and it helps me put my emotions in perspective. It helps me get my feelings all out where I can see them and helps me come up with a solution for my current state. I can identify the source and come up with solutions.
Talking is another way of putting it all out there. It helps to actually hear the words that are coming out of your mouth. A lot of times, when you hear the words out loud you can hear what is going on in your head. This can also help you put things into perspective. Whatever form of therapy you choose if you follow the following steps you can be on your way to a better and healthier emotional state.
* Find a way to get it all out...write it...talk it out, not matter which method you use...just get it out.
* After you have put it all out there evaluate how and why these emotions came about. As women, sometimes it's just hormonal and will subside in a few days. Some of the time it is our emotions coming to a head.
* Once you have put it out there, identified the source, it is time to make a plan. What I have learned about myself is that I have to have things planned out. It doesn't matter if I follow the plan or not, it just helps if I have a course of actions. This helps as a guide I can follow if I get too far off the path.
* After you have done all these things, then submit these things to the Lord. I know you may be saying, why make prayer that last thing. Well, normally I wouldn't, but in some cases, by getting all these things out we can then go before the Lord and ask him to help with our emotions, help us deal with the source and guide us through a plan.
As I said before, this may not work for you, but it serves as a guideline to help you through some issues.
